Premenstrual Syndrome ( PMS )

It is well known that PMS linked to Hormonal Imbalance.  What is not that well know is that women with PMS stick to the diet, that much worse than Standard American Diet ( SAD ) (1).  They eat much more refind sugar, more diary products, sodium, but they are gieeting much less such vitally important nutriens like zinc, manganese and iron.  What it means is: the right diet may be crutial for PMS treatment.

1.  Increase intake of vegetarian foods while decrease intake of animal proteins (2,3).

2.  Stay away from fat, especially sturated fat (4), sugars especially chocholate (5), caffeine (6) and salt.

Of coure diet alone cannot correct Hormonal Imbalance, it cannot also correct Neurotransmitter Imbalance.  To figure out what is going on you need to find a Functional Medicine Doctor to find the root cause of the problem and eliminate it.

Good luck!
