Obesity

It is customary now to blame genes for having too much weight.  "It runs in my family!" or "Everybody has it!"  I hear this every day.  May be we should stop blaiming gens for it? May be we are overweight because we are eating too much?  Even though you might have bad genes, it is up to you to turn them on or turn them off.  The choice is yours.

Obesity dietary suggestions:

1.  Increase intake of lean meats, poultry and cold water fish free of mercury, green leafty vegetables and fruits, nuts and seeds.

2.  Avoid carbohydrates especially refined like sodas, cookies, candes, etc. ( the only exception might be fresh unprocessed fruits ), wheat and milk products.

3.  Stay away from alcohol, smoking, caffeine.
