Vytorin Found To Be Linked To Cancer

The FDA was asked recently by the House Energy and Commerce Committee to turn over the results of the so-called Seas study from Oxford University. The results of this study shocked the medical society as well as investors.

The researchers from Oxford University found that risk of cancer in a group of patients taking Vytorin was unexpectedly higher than in the control group. And yet when the FDA submitted the results, it stated that the link between Vytorin and higher cancer risks wasn’t there. Funny though, how the study was submitted to the FDA but never to the House Commerce Committee, which investigates the safety of prescription drugs.

So, can we fully trust the FDA? It seems the answer is obvious.
