Are Plastic Bottles Safe

Today, it seems everybody is using plastic bottles. I do, do you?

We worry about the bottle’s impact on the environment, but we never really consider the safety of the plastic on our bodies. Until recently. In order the determine the safety of plastic the scientists in the National Toxicology Program exposed rodents to the levels of bisphenol A, the plastic component in question bisphenol.

The result was not good: precancerous lesions in the prostate and mammary glands. Other findings were also noted.

Bisphenol A is a component of many plastics and resins used in food packaging. It is used in medical devices also. These findings may suggest that bisphenol A may be deleterious for human development. Further studies regarding its safety are definitely needed.
