A recent study from the Institute of Psychiatry in the UK suggests that Alzheimer’s disease may be prevented. The remedy they found is hormone replacement therapy.
We know already that estrogen is necessary for memory function in menopausal women and estrogen replacement makes remembering things much better. The study from Institute of Psychiatry brings us one more step forward: dementia prevention. If this devastating disease can be avoided, then there is one more reason for starting hormone replacement therapy. Remember: menopause is affecting your brain too!
