Is The Person Beside You At Night Killing You?

night sleep

Stress can kill you and it can come from a host of sources. Our days are filled with stress, we long to escape. Some of us long for the relaxation of home, but for others, home is just as stressful as the office.

Sometimes, coming home to your partner can be just as crazy as being at work, or the long drive home sitting in traffic.

Why? Because of transference and countertransference, found by Dr. Sigmund Freud.

The theory is basically that if two people are sitting together, even without speaking, they are passing their ideas and feelings to each other, whether we like it or not. And this has been proven time and time again. Tests show that our rhythms are so strong they can be sensed from across the room. So sitting in close quarters with someone on a daily basis, your rhythms may be in sync, your biorhythms are passed between one another and you are exchanging  your thoughts, feelings etc..

But if you are not in sync then the person beside you creates a toxic environment, you need to get rid of them. There is no way that you can sync someone with you.  At least I do not know any.

And when you are stressed all the time it shuts down your brain. Think of it this way, if there is a car coming at you, you jump out of the way. It is your natural reaction for survival. You don’t contemplate the model and make of the car, you don’t wonder if the driver is a man or woman. Because in a stressful situation, those reflexes help you to survive at the expense of shutting down your ability to learn and think efficiently.  And this ok, when you need to jump to escape form a predator, but it is not ok, if you need to make everyday life decisions.

The only recommendation here is to make sure that the person beside you gives you energy and doesn’t suck the energy from you. If you had to describe your partner, how would you describe them?

Other stress relief can com! e just b y taking care of your stomach. Your gut is your strength. Take care of simple things like your teeth. Go to dentist regularly, take CoQ10, and chew carefully. It should be about 20 to 30 bites to chew before your food is properly chewed.
