Statins benefits may be questionable

FDA may reevaluate its recommendations for cholesterol lowering drugs statins, e.g. lipitor, zocor, pravastatin etc. Apparently recent Vytorin scandal triggered questions about real effectiveness of this type of drugs. As per my knowledge statins efficacy for CAD prevention or survival benefit has never been proven for women. Now the question is: are statins beneficial for our health?
