Everybody is concerned with aging. Because it decreased the quality of life: less energy, less pleasure, less sex, less money because of decreased performance, etc.  The solution of the problem is hormone replacement therapy. The question is when to start?

The most well know symptom of andropause is erectile dysfunction. It is very simple: less erections — consider hormone replacement. I do not agree with this. In my opinion the first and most reliable symptom of testosterone decline is weight gain because of loss of anabolic effects of testosterone: calories go into fat, instead of going into muscles. With weight increase  estrogen level goes up, leading to maintenance of the libido level. Erectile dysfunction developes later, when testosterone level goes too low to maintain even adequate level of estrogen/testosterone ratio.

If anybody have any thoughts or ideas about this matter, please let me know.
