Are you suffering from hot flushes? If yes then estrogen deficiency is most likely the problem. However there are some other causes of hot flushes you should be aware of.

First is adrenal fatigue. In our stressed society it is very important cause, especially after 9/11. If you are under severe and frequent stress you are not able to produce enough adrenal steroids to maintain your proper body functions.

Second is hyperthyroidism. Excessive thyroid hormone production can cause hot flushes due to abnormal adrenalin secretion.

Third is pheochromocytoma. Hot flushes in this case are also a result of excessive adrenalin secretion.

So if you have hot flushes, you need check it with your doctor right away. This may indicate much more serious problems than menopause.
