Remember: it can kill like a hip or spine fracture. It is especially dangerous in diabetic patients because their ability to heal is severely impaired. Should they do everything possible to prevent a fracture? Absolutely – like preventing falls. However, it looks like falls are not the major threat for diabetics any more. So what is it now? Guess what? Drugs!
According to the article published on a Canadian Medical Association Journal:

…long term use of two diabetic drugs: Avandia and Actos resulted in doubling of a fracture risk. No definite explanation of this so far.  Plausible explanations are: defective new bone formation and decrease in estrogen levels. Also Avandia was linked to heart failure as well.
Can using Avandia and Actos give you a cure from diabetes? Absolutely not. Instead they will decrease your sugar level, which leads to increased appetite and weight gain.  The result – your sugar level is up again! Plus increased risks for fracture and increased risk for heart failure from Avandia.
Isn’t it more simple and logical to bring your sugar down naturally with a proper diet, supplements and bioidentical ( chemically the same as our own ) hormone replacement with decreased risk for fractures and other side effects?  I think you know the answer.
