How Far Do You Have To Go To Get Rid of Sagging Skin?

A little over a year ago, rapper Kanye West’s mother Dr. Donda West died from possible complications of plastic surgery.

It was a very sad and needless death. It was also very unexpected, as the risk of serious complications with general anesthesia is .1 percent. This means that one in every 1,000 patients will experience an irregular heartbeat, breathing complications, or worse. And even though it is such a small chance, it could happen to you. So, why bother putting yourself at risk at all? As a doctor, I live by the theory that surgery should be a solution only when all other options have been exhausted and there is no other choice.

In today’s society, with medical advancement and pills created to deal with every medical issue, most people look to surgery or medication as a common solution, when they should not.

When patients ask me to prescribe pills for conditions as small as fungus on their toenails, I refuse, because of the risk of possible liver failure. I tell them that’s it’s possible to live with yellow nails, but not possible to live without a liver.

Don’t get me wrong: plastic surgery is a great achievement, a good solution sometimes. But only when you realize the risk of surgery.

You have more choices now than you think. You can age and accept it, you can get plastic surgery, or you can find a good middle ground in thread lifts.

Thread lifts, known as a lunchtime facelift, are a quick alternative to traditional plastic surgery, with no long recovery period. Thread is used to lift sagging brows and cheeks and there are no incisions, stitches or scars.

Choose carefully, consider your safety.
