Want to live longer — be aware of medications risks

As per CDC report there were 33541 drug related ( including prescription drugs) deaths in 2005 (in the US) , which is 8.1% up from 2004. These deaths are not from illegal drugs only. Prescription medications are there also. The recent death of the actor Heath Ledger tells us the same: medicatins can kill. I’m not suggesting to stop taking medications at all. I’m suggesting to be care full. So what needs to be done to minimise the risk?
